Google Apps Down After Massive Outage
The outage includes Google services: Gmail, Google Classroom, YouTube, Docs
Downdetector’s data confirms the outage is global, with users from Europe, the US, India, Japan, Australia, etc., reporting problems with Google apps.
I was working on a new interview for Rock n’Heavy, about an hour ago (11.30 WET), when suddenly I lost access to YouTube when I was ready to publish it.
Google’s Workplace Status Dashboard later confirmed this was a general outage. Nonetheless, Google’s search engine appears to be working through the outage, and I can still do research.
Considering that my Gmail account is unreachable, I can imagine how millions of users worldwide cannot access their Gmail or Google services.
#Google and #GoogleDown are now viral hashtags on social media with millions of hits.
While writing these lines, I have regained access to YouTube, and I will further investigate the issue and follow-up with more information about the Google outage.
