Don’t wait for happiness — live in happiness

The time was up for her to enjoy the sunshine, sunset, and sunrise. It should be noted that she was waiting for the perfect opportunity to enjoy the days with the sun with her soulmate. Hence, she postponed the feelings resembling joy, happiness, and excitement until now.

The canvas of her heart remained void of colors, shades, and shadows. Her life remained blank, bleak, and boring. The angels of death found her bereft of breath in the cold, damp, and arid sand on the beach alone without any belongings.

Her story will not be written, curated, or remembered, as nothing is inspiring about her life. Not everyone is smart enough to take control of their destiny, and some of us get confused, disheartened, and misguided in the midst of despair. She must have tried her best to find love since we only care about success stories. Her failed attempts were never recorded.

On the one hand, she could have defended her state of mind by arguing that she was dealt with tough cards without any chance of rising above her miseries. A solid argument could be made she never had a reason to celebrate anything in her life.

Everyone around her had special occasions, solid support, and ample means to live happier lives, and they had love, goals, and success. For them, the failures were followed by a series of wins that came to overcome the mishaps, whereas her hopes were dashed to the ground so many times that she stopped counting.

On the other hand, some cynics would like to criticize her stubbornness, uncompromising attitude, and over-confidence, which made people around her insecure. She never asked for advice or help, remaining elusive, aloof, and uncommunicative. So, it’s not surprising she never got herself a good friend. Both sides of the argument are solid, true, and valid.

However, it’s up to nature to decide her final fate; perhaps relationships are complicated like a web of twisted wires. The demands are endless, from excessive expectations to full reciprocation to levels of comparisons. An average human needs multiple support systems to sustain and flourish in a relationship.

All we do in this world is crave compatible companions, create friendships forever, and collaborate for everlasting legacies. Our social behavior is dictated by meeting, competing, and completing these endeavors to live so-called successful lives.

Throughout history, individuals with a knack for establishing niches, alliances, and effective communication have become successful innovators, leaders, and experts leading humankind to progress.

If one had to choose one core element that makes human beings feel limitless, then most of us would choose the circle of close family and friends. These people have deep connections with their communities, cultures, and creed, and nothing can stop them from attaining their individual and collective goals.

However, if they lack a support system or links are broken due to unforeseen circumstances, these individuals are throughout the circle. It’s excruciatingly difficult to carve out an independent identity or ask for a dignified existence, and it usually leads to marginalization or sub-cultures.

One should never ignore the positives, and these individuals thrive without society’s rigid rules and regulations when they look inwards for inspiration, motivation, and imagination. Treasures are hidden in every layer of our souls; it depends on our ingenuity to uncover them. We hope her story is read with interest somewhere in the universe, whether now or later.

Maybe, she had unsung, unused, underutilized talents and made a difference in someone else’s life by being who she was. For that reason alone, she deserves her day in the sun, just like all of us so let’s send her away with a big farewell at the sunset beach this weekend.
