Birds, Wildlife, Photography, Kindness, and November Challenge
Good Morning, Neighbor
November Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Collecting Smiles”
Greet our neighbors with a smile.
When tree swallows light on a tree branch or nesting box, they chat with each other. Could they be exchanging greetings in a language unknown to humans?
I appreciate exchanging greetings with my neighbors, just as the swallows seem to do. Saying “Hi,” “Hello,” or even “Hey” to everyone we pass goes a long way to conjure a smile.
Since I consider nearly any person on our planet as a neighbor, there are endless opportunities to exchange greetings and smiles. People like to hear their names, so if I know the person I am about to greet, saying their name makes them feel good inside.
Niceties and kindness go a long way. Have a great day, neighbor.
Thank you to Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, for this month’s challenge. She knows how to make people smile through her stories, kindness, and positive attitude.
Also, thanks to Mary Chang Story Writer, for creating and editing this publication, and to editors Sandi Parsons and my fellow-Minnesotan Ellie Jacobson.
