Good Morning

Good Morning World, Good Morning God, Good Morning Self

Today, I will work harder than yesterday

For tomorrow is not promised, anyway

I will love others more than yesterday

For today is all I have, I dare say

I will give more today than any other day

For this day will never come again, gone away

I will make this moment the best yet

For this moment is mine to be, no fret

I ask God to be the head of my life

For without God there is much strife

I will share love with the world

And the world will share love with me

God plus me is the majority

I will love myself harder each day

For God gives and God taketh away

Each morning when I awake

My eyes open, for my sake

God gives me life another moment,

Another day, with permission he consents

I say, “Good Morning World

Good Morning God

Good Morning Self

For it is great to be alive

And to God I strive

Me to be my very best

Until that time I shall not rest

Ridding racism, I much detest

sending love all around

Championing as I expound!
