Good Harbor Sunrise

Memorable Moments

I’m an early riser. Most days up before the sunrise. There is something I enjoy about seeing the world around me wake up.

For many years I have found the earliest part of the day to be most productive, mentally and physically. It can also be the most colorful.

Where I live the sun rises a little after 5 AM in early July. I was up and moving when I could see the potential for a brilliant sunrise. It was already warm on that early July day so I dressed light, packed my camera gear, and headed over to Good Harbor Beach.

I wasn’t disappointed.

It was the start of what turned out to be a hot summer day.

Like those mornings where fog has set in, these scenes don’t last long. You have to be there before it gets too far or you’ll miss it.

I was blessed and fortunate to be in the right place at the right time this day.

Truly a memorable moment.
