The morning walk

A few days ago I put my thinking cap on and went out for a walk. What did I see?

Yellow Marigolds!

They made me feel very bright and special with the sun shining and smiling too.

I thought of the qualities of marigolds. They are special and festive. In some cultures, it is a very special flower. It is used on holy days to decorate homes. It is used to decorate halls for auspicious celebrations like weddings. Even when a person dies marigolds are kept near him probably to bid goodbye by keeping him bright and happy.

The fascinating yellow rose

I came home and sat down for my breakfast in a relaxed mood and on my verandah I observed that in one of the flower pots, a flower was peeping out.

Look at the beautiful yellow rose. I started getting an aroma that went right into my senses. Was it serendipity that I saw yellow again?

The rose has jumped out of nowhere. A whole yellow flower that I did not see emerge as a bud that flowered slowly.

I remembered having planted a red rose because I could not get a yellow plant. Disappointed I bought a red rose plant and now I am surprised with a yellow rose that I really wanted in my small little potted plants collection.

I saw a bee trying to take out the nectar from the flower. I was fascinated the bee was focused and in my mind, I thought it loves the perfume as well as the honey. A friend came and I was so absorbed that I did not hear.

She came and moved the bee. She was afraid that it would sting me. She spoiled my fun. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the game of the bee and the rose.

Malbhog special bananas from West Bengal

My friend saw the bananas in the picture above and she asked me why I had got such bananas. She had never seen such skin with spots.

In fact, we never bought such bananas because we thought they were not good and they were about to perish.

These bananas are called Malbhog bananas and my house help had brought them from her own orchard in the village. Her brother had specially packed it and sent it as a gift for me.

I was afraid but I did not want to break her heart so I ate one. It was extremely tasty and I ate another one. They were very tasty. My friend too tasted them and each time she comes to my home she asks for those special Malbhog bananas.

Of course, they lasted three days only as we were all excited to eat them.

Mangoes as a gift

My friend who had come to visit me and moved away the bee brought mangoes from her orchard. I love mangoes and in the summer season, mangoes are a favorite.

These mangoes did not look polished like the ones in the market but they were very sweet and tasty too.

In the market, the traders buy the mango when it is quite green and many of them ripen them with some chemicals and then polish and make them look beautiful. These mangoes had been brought with love from her own mango orchard and she shared them with a lot of friends every year.

In India we have a large variety of mangoes and the taste of each variety is different. You see mangoes from different parts of India and every mango has a special name like Alfonso, Safeda, Neelam, Dusseri, Langra, Chausa, and so on.

I noticed that everything till the afternoon had been yellow in color and strange as it may sound I found another yellow.

My friend had painted her entrance yellow

My friend had invited some of us for tea at her home at 5 PM. She was getting her house painted and had been quite busy. Now that it was ready she invited us for a chit-chat and fun.

I kept looking at the entrance. She asked me what I found so intriguing. I said I had never seen a yellow wall in a home and here the whole entrance has been painted yellow.

Looking around and enjoying the creativity, I decided to take a photo of this place to share its uniqueness.

Goodbye with another yellow

I said goodbye! I ventured out of her home to the car.

There was a yellow plant near the entrance of the garden that caught my attention. Another yellow! It was a glorious plant. I had never seen such a beautiful Canna with different kinds of leaves.

I observed the flower and the striped leaves of dark and light green.

It was a beautiful day and I observed it with the beauty of the color yellow
