Going Where I’d Never Been
A Poem

So I was going was running inside the house I kept running I ran up to the second floor up to the third floor up to the fourth floor they have a very tall house! and I ran across, a handsome smile, the rooftop and shimmied into a window and sprained my right foot my good foot, in the air, took off my old shoes so I was going and with you danced on my good and bad foot to a song One Doesn’t Need to Be Happy to have feelings one doesn’t need feelings to be happy so I was going was running I ran down to the first floor, I ran out into the street and didn’t hear the car one doesn’t need feelings to hear a car coming down, a hot engine, an in- take of breath, a string of curses, a peal of laughter, of fact that I didn’t get run over so I was going was happy was running again
