Going viral once doesn't mean you will find a niche
There is a serious misconception about going viral

Everyone wants to go viral to get that career boost they always needed. There is a serious misconception about going viral in most of the artists’ minds. Going viral can impact your audience in both of the ways.
My definition of a viral “whatever” is something that demands attention. It has to be quality content though. You somehow hit the algorithm and get curated and you get widely appreciated, which totally makes sense, doesn’t it?

Let me go down that memory lane to present you the epitome of this situation. Have you watched this movie named “Aladdin” (live-action one)? [Yup its a good movie]I’ ma do some math now. It grossed over $1 Billion Dollars. Generally, a movie ticket costs at an average of $9.11 USD.
So how many people watched “Aladdin”?
109,769,484 — This much.*
And that my friend is 109 million people right there. Look, all I am saying is that this movie was huge and successful. So this movie can be termed as “viral”. Now you might be thinking “what is all of this built-up about?” Well, the lead actor in this movie didn't get any audition for a lead role after doing Aladdin. He is Mena Massoud — the guy who got cast for Aladdin(the Character) after beating 2000 of his fellow auditionee.
In an interview with The Daily Beast, he said:
“I’m kind of tired of staying quiet about it … I want people to know that it’s not always dandelions and roses when you’re doing something like Aladdin. ‘He must have made millions. He must be getting all these offers.’ It’s none of those things. I haven’t had a single audition since Aladdin came out.”

The guy got cast as a Disney prince, I mean how often this has happened to celebrities. What does it take to be a Disney Prince/Princess? Acting is one thing, but you gotta have that charisma, charming look, hypnotizing eyes, mesmerizing bod, and whatnot. After all, you are going to represent a folk tale, what did you expect?
Mena got all of that attention, money, being friends with celebrities (Will Smith). But still, he couldn't be able to get a single audition, doesn't that make you wonder how?
The same case applies to every genre of profession. It doesnt matter if you are a writer, singer, musician, influencer, artist, novelist, actor, you get the idea.
What is the moral of the story? Don't think about “The Success”, don't stop, work hard, and someday you will be rewarded for the same.
