Going to Famous Movie Spots

Diving into the big screen!

I bet we have all seen a movie and we have thought that a certain scene that was presented was a mesmerizing sight. Dreaming of going to these places is always enticing but what if you do get the opportunity to take a trip into your favorite movie?

A close friend of mine mentioned that the movie “Lord of the Rings” was entirely filmed in New Zealand. He then showed me some frames of the movie and I was in awe just by thinking that the landscapes were real, they are breathtaking in each scene. Just analyzing this, I now have New Zealand on my travel bucket list. Not because of the movies since I haven’t seen them (I know I know…don’t come after me) but I would love to see such natural beauty.

The website of New Zealand mentions that there are over 150 locations where the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed, and thanks to the love that this movie has received, the set of the village of Hobbiton is now a permanent attraction.

If you decide to travel to New Zealand and if you are a true fan of those movies, you will fall in love with the mountains, caves, rivers, forests, valleys, lakes and so many more natural sites, you’ll be part of the movie too!

Travel Prompt

For this week’s prompt, we would like to know if you have ever traveled to a place that is famous because it was used as the background/set of a movie. Where was it and what movie is it? We would all like to read about your experiences!
