Godzilla Minus One Wins Best Nature Documentary at 2024 Academy Awards

In a result that surprised no-one, YAMAZAKI Takashi’s “Godzilla Minus One” swept the “Best Nature Documentary” award at last night’s Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

The full-length feature was created to call attention to the current critical condition of this only known surviving member of his reptilian, prehistoric species.

“Godzilla is the last of his kind. When he passes, so will humanity’s last, best chance to defeat moths, alien hydras, giant apes, and mechanized Godzilla power-suited alien consciousnesses, “ said YAMAZAKI. “We hope that this Academy Award win will increase public awareness of Godzilla’s plight and help him find a mate.”

Sadly, Godzilla himself was not able to attend. Rumours have it that the saviour of humanity was locked neck-in-necks combat with the three-headed alien King Ghidora. After defeating his longtime rival, Godzilla once again returned to the bottom of the sea where he watched the rest of the Awards ceremony and updated his Tinder profile with news of his award.

No information on whether the addition of the Oscar statue to his profile image has increased the percentage of “swipe rights.”
