God, You Don’t Mean to Pry

A Poem

You make me smile when others make me cry

You make me find the happiness in hello and goodbye

You make me bounce back and jump with joy

When I feel low you make me high

When I am about to give up you make me give it another try

You teach me to be bold and still be shy

You make me lift my head and look in the eye

You keep me down to earth and make me touch the sky

You make me find the truth in a lie

You make my doubts fall and my beliefs fly

You give me ‘How’ and make me erase my ‘Why’

God, I have understood now When you look inside my heart It is for my own good You don’t mean to pry
