Goal-Setting Reinvented: How Motivation Monday Can Revolutionize Your Year

Creating a strategy to achieve my New Year’s Resolution

Happy New Year! (I’m not sure at what point the enthusiasm should fade away)

As we step into 2024, I’m determined to preserve that ‘New Year’ feeling — a blend of hope, motivation, and a sense of purpose. Well, sort of; my focus is on turning these sentiments into tangible achievements.

Rather than limiting myself to 1 or 2 New Year’s Resolutions, I’ve set multiple short-term goals, along with 2 medium and 1 long-term goal for 2024.

The theme of my short-term goals is to reduce my mental load. organisation. To rid myself of mundane tasks.

So, welcome to the Monday Motivation Movement — where we strive to convert aspirations into accomplishments

Write Down Your Goals:

These are my 4 short-term goals for January.

w/c 8th Jan — Change my phone contract to a reduced rate

w/c 15th Jan — Open a new savings account

w/c 22nd Jan — Buy 4 picture frames and hang them up

w/c 29th Jan — Move a pension pot into an old workplace pension

The Guidelines

Write down 4 goals that you wish to achieve and dedicate one week to achieving them. Simple.

Given the time frame, these aren’t monumental, life-altering goals, rather, they are the ones that need attention. They don’t have to be massive, I mean look at mine.

  • 4 goals a month, 1 per week
  • If a goal remains unmet in the allocated time, don’t stress. Revisit it later.

All of my goals have been sitting in my mental load for some time and I’m tired of living with them.

What’s next?

It’s Monday 8th January and I will be finding time this week to change my phone contract.

I’ll report back on Monday 15th January.

If you’re tired of carrying your mental load and searching for accountability, motivation, or timelines to help you get things done, feel free to join. I would love to hear about the goals you’re working to tick off and provide support along the way!

Best of luck!
