Glom On To Life

A Poem

Nobody said it was going to be easy in life, right? Don’t assume that you won’t have to put up a fight. They’ll definitely pull you down with all their might And leave you wounded and in a helpless detestable plight.

What will you do then when the arrows of their words Have pierced through your heart like double-edged swords? When they make your life seem worthless and a big failure Comparing you to people whose stories do not even come near;

At such times, your mind is burning and becoming a living hell. It is so difficult to live with yourself and with your mind to dwell. When your heart feels so hollow, and all that you want seems shallow - Yet all that you want is a life of peace and your dreams to follow.

Why should every emotional tide swallow you up and beat you dead? Why should you not take control of life and ride the tides instead? No matter how deep your wounds and how little their faith in you, And in your abilities and your intentions and in everything you do.

No matter how suspicious their looks or how ridiculing their words, Just decide to make a life that’s worthy in your eyes and God’s. Let not your heart resort to the things that were used against you. Fight hard to keep your mind crystal clear and your heart very true.

Then set out on a journey to discover yourself and grab hold of your life. Yes, glom on to your precious life, seek peace, joy, and a life without strife.
