Alone on a bridge: Freestyle
Daring to dream, never giving up.
When you’re from a flat place like southern Minnesota, your understanding of the world comes from movies and pictures.
The rest of the world looms over you. Trees whose tops you can’t see. Mountains of snow and ice. Waterfalls you might be able to sneak behind and kiss a newly discovered love.
Multnomah Falls outside of Portland, Oregon is one of those waterfalls you see in pictures, then dream of visiting. It is often photographed, just search for it on Instagram and you’ll see what I mean.
I passed through Oregon one time, in 2015. I had a friend along, we had a mission, and for some reason unknown to either of us we drove right past these falls.
Nevertheless, I never forgot about them. Nor did I forget my friend, who I also had not seen since that last trip out. In the past, she had modeled for me, and I called upon her again when I came to visit.
I hope to return again, though when I cannot say.
