Writing is a tiring job. Even after so many years, I take at least one week to write a rough draft of my books (Novella length). And to get my payment I have to wait for 90 days!

When it was getting hard to get my work noticed, I started with Ghostwriting work. I wasn’t expecting much money. Just needed enough to survive. I started ghostwriting just for survival money. One of the major reasons was — Ghostwriting pays faster than any self-publishing platform.

I just wrote a few books in various niches. So very much I was a newbie and had no knowledge about the subject. But there were many on Upwork who were just starting out and doing great at a very young age. So why can’t I?

At least I can try! If I fail then still good. I’ll know what works for me and what not.

Ebook writers were my target audience but instead, I got a YouTuber.

Life is a series of unexpected events all the time. Never in my life, I knew that YouTubers need writers as well!

Have you ever searched for the term “ghostwriting”? Nope? Then high chance that you may have searched for “what exactly is a ghostwriter?”.

I am glad that this is not a very complex subject to understand and anyone can jump in without much knowledge.

Because anyone with any level of knowledge can become a ghostwriter.

  1. If you know how to cook then you can ghostwrite for food YouTubers
  2. Are you into the health niche? Then you can write books related to Paleo, women’s health, and so on. So many health topics to explore! You can write for health blogs or anyone looking for a writer to write for them.
  3. If you are into technology then you can write for tech blogs, also ghostwrite ebooks for them.

These are just examples. The options are limitless!

For me, ghostwriting has become a quick way to make money. Yes, it has its own pros and cons. But which business doesn’t? As a writer, I wish to try as many options as possible and keep the ones that I like the most.

We live in an AI world where ChatGPT is free. Some of my previous clients are still in contact with me for work. This shows that not everyone wants to depend on AI.
