Getting Back On The Court

Has been beneficial to my healing

In my early 20s I took up tennis lessons and played at a local club for well over a year. I loved it! Then life got busy and my new hobby took a back seat.

During my Lyme diagnosis I took some lessons with friends and while I went to each class and played my body wasn’t quite ready.

Recently a friend asked me to sign up for tennis lessons with her, so I decided to sign up and give it another try. While I am still having Lyme flare-ups my body felt ready to play and I fell in love with the game all over again.

I look forward to getting on the court each week, breaking a sweat, and forgetting about everything else.

While healing has taken a long time and I experienced my worst flare-up a few months ago I am slowly starting to heal and get healthy as I continue the journey.

Taking tennis lessons for 4 weeks may seem like a small thing, but it just shows me how far I’ve come in the healing process.
