Getting a Shout-Out on YouTube

From Successful YouTuber Brian G Johnson TV

A week ago, I connected with successful YouTuber Brian G Johnson. He, like me, created a video regarding Indoor Kat’s overnight success.

When I commented on his video, he told me that he had seen my video, and that’s largely what inspired him to create a video about Indoor Kat! He said that I was doing great, which was nice 🙂

During that conversation, Brian told me not to miss his next video. He said that there was a certain comment that I may find very interesting! One that he had left just 30 minutes prior!

Hmm, could it be that little old me got a mention in a successful YouTuber's upcoming video? I subscribed to Brian’s channel and watched his upcoming video as promised, without holding any big expectations.

There was no mention of me, but it was of course “interesting” for a YouTube content creator like myself to watch, as are all of Brian’s videos; Brian’s channel focuses on YouTube channel growth.

The following day, I received a comment from Brian under one of my YouTube videos, about why I want to succeed on YouTube, and what “success” means to me.

I also noticed that my subscriber number went up right after that. Could it be? That a big YouTuber subscribed to a small YouTuber, to show his support?

Given that he responded to another video right after its release, I figured that the answer was yes, Brian and I were officially YouTube Buddies! 😁

But Wait, There’s More!

Yesterday, I commented on another one of Brian's videos. He said: “I swear to God your video is coming up! I uploaded it today” “My Video?? I thought I already saw it!😂” Was my response.

I told my other YouTube buddy Robia this morning, that I may have gotten a mention on a successful YouTuber’s upcoming video. Right after that, I noticed that Brian had released a new video 4 hours prior!

Sure enough, Brian gave me a mention of 4:42 minutes into the video! 😁 Turns out that he already had the screenshot of my video ready to go, just before he received my comment. Talk about divine timing!

YouTube is a wonderful small world that connects creators and consumers alike! I love the tribe I am building and I love learning from successful YouTubers such as Brian, when it comes to building my YouTube Channel.

Getting Clear on My Niche

As Brian says, I will need to niche down if I want to see some real growth in my channel. I know that. Experimental “Play Time” is almost over! I recently created a brand new channel called Heidi’s Hobbies. I have yet to create content for that, but I know that it’s best if I separate my hobbies into a different channel.

My Simply Nobel Niche is still broad (it is largely focused on health and wellness, mindfulness, and motivation) but I will continue to refine it more and more in the coming months 🙂 Let the games begin! 🥁
