My husband and I were recently introduced to this program by one of his colleagues and I am so glad we were! It’s called Imagination Library, founded by Dolly Parton. It is a program that provides free books to kids under five years old. They will send you one free book per month until the child turns five.

They encourage all parents to read to their little ones at least 15 minutes per day, even when they are little babies. Their brains are developing at a rapid rate so it’s never too soon to start reading to your kids.

All you have to do is visit the website below and look up your location to see if the program is available in your area. If it is, there will be a contact person listed for you to contact to register for the program.

I emailed my contact person, she emailed me right back with the registration paper. It was a single page, quick and easy to fill out and I mailed it back to her. Once she received my paperwork she emailed me back letting me know my daughter was registered and we would be receiving our first book soon.

I am so excited to start reading these books to our little girl. Reading is magical. I already see her eyes light up when I read to her and it gets me excited for her future with books.

A big thank you to this wonderful program.
