Summarize

Gentle Rain.

Cleansing and Nourishing.

Snapdragon “magic carpet” under gentle water spray in my LED garden. Picture by John Rose.

Spraying snapdragons, Like morning rains of long past youth, Gentle rain back and forth, Soaking topsoil, Beauty promises.

Morning watering, Thoughts far afield, Walking in England’s beautiful green, Misty-rain soaking clothes and socks, Boots like buckets.

Careful spraying even soaking, Remember row boat, Barney my dog alertly barking at dangerous sea gulls, Westerly winds picking up, Harbour roughening, Far from wharf, Storm clouds, Sheeting rain, Wind and waves, Made for shore, Beached and drenched, Dog in lap looking miserable.

Spraying done, Maybe bit more just there, Another flashback, Walking with kids, Forests in Blue Mountains, West of Sydney, Stately ancient gums, Overcast and shaded, Gentle rain, Sparkling droplets gracing leaves, Kids touching every droplet becoming wet, Smiling dad in trouble yet again.

Sitting with smiling grandkids, Story expectations, Many stories have I, Scenes from Tolkien, Mysterious walks, Forest creatures light and shadows, Family adventures, Fables and legends, My words fall as gentle rain, Nourishing grandchildren’s fertile imaginations, Another cycle of gentle rain begins.

Blessed be.
