Abstract

ho watched these so-called “trash TV” I was told they watch it just because. There wasn’t any reason behind it either which was even more concerning. I hope we can live in a world where gossip is a thing of the past. Maybe I wishing for a pipe dream. But, I am glad I don’t contribute to gossiping. The thing with gossip is you can do it without really realizing it. So, I tend to never talk about anyone. If I do I try to be mindful as much as I can.

I also did some personal research and found a whole section on slang.net on some history and origin of the phrase, Spill the Tea. Gen Z Words Series (21/30)

One Work Study Taught me 30 words GenZ uses. I am here to share them with you.

The 21st Phrase is “Spill the Tea” I have been told that it means “When someone tells you a juicy bit of gossip”.

So, the 21st phrase is “Spill the Tea” I was told it meant “When someone tells you a juicy bit of gossip” Today’s phrase “Spill the Tea” reminds me of the phrase I use to hear a lot “Spill the Beans”. I find it interesting how generation after generation phrases we are using are being evaluated and changed to the current generation's liking. Interesting indeed.

I also felt that the need for gossip is concerning. This isn’t only for young people but for all ages. I hear the term “Trash TV” and it concerns me how people like these toxic shows that are just so awful parts of humanity. When I asked someone who watched these so-called “trash TV” I was told they watch it just because.

If you have time why don’t you check it out? Direct link below:
