Summary

The web content discusses a poem titled "GASP," which is about overcoming the feeling of being overwhelmed by life's unfairness and the importance of not suppressing one's breath, emotions, or potential for a happy life.

Abstract

The poem "GASP" is presented as a reflection on the struggle to cope with life's challenges. It emphasizes the physical and emotional response to stress, symbolized by the act of gasping for breath. The poem's structure is unique, allowing it to be read traditionally from top to bottom or horizontally from left to right, with the message remaining consistent. The author, Geetika Sethi, encourages readers to embrace their emotions and not let life's hardships or other people's actions lead them to a life filled with gloom and sadness. The website also includes a visual element, a photograph by Cristian Newman, which complements the poem's theme. Additionally, there is a link to another poem by the same author titled "Desire," inviting readers to explore more of her work.

Opinions

  • The author believes that it's crucial to acknowledge and express one's emotions rather than holding them back.
  • There is an underlying message that life's difficulties should not define one's existence or emotional state.
  • The poem suggests that resilience and the ability to find relief in tough times are important for maintaining a positive outlook on life.
  • The inclusion of a visually striking image alongside the poem indicates the author's appreciation for the interplay between visual art and poetry.
  • By providing a link to another poem, the author expresses a desire to share more of her creative work and perhaps a belief in the connectivity of her poetic themes.

GLOOMY AVAILS SADNESS PREVAILS

WHEN LIFE IS UNFAIR

Do you GASP for breath in tension at that moment, when Life mistreats you, just wishing for a sigh of relief?

GASP is a two-way poem. Read it top to bottom or left to right in the line below – the meaning remains the same and so does its significance.

So never hold your breath back or let anyone do so to make you live a gloomy and sad life.

Thank you for stopping by to read. Here is another favourite of mine to read. Hope you enjoy it. 😇
