Gas prices for 2024 predicted by EIA agency
Hoping for lower gas at the pumps?
Gas headed down, according to EIA
According to a recent analysis of the short term energy outlook, the EIA has published its predictions for the 2024 and 2025 gas price forecast.
The EIA says that gas prices in the United States are expected to go down because there will be more gasoline available and the difference between the cost of making gasoline and selling it will decrease.
The EIA says they predict the average gas price will be about $3.40 per gallon in 2024 and $3.20 per gallon in 2025, which is lower than the average price of more than $3.50 per gallon in 2023.
In California, gas prices are trending at around $4.568 for regular, while the lowest prices are seen in Wyoming, with consumers paying $2.688 per gallon. Here in Oklahoma, we’re seeing $2.70 for a gallon of regular.
Are the gas prices headed in the right direction? How does your state compare?
