I always gardened since my youth with my mom we used to build small 6ft x 6ft little gardening patches and I loved it even if then I barely ate vegetables! Growing from a seed is naturally soothing when you make something grow it’s a strange emotion for me since it’s a vegetable but now I have bigger gardens I was sick for a few years and couldn’t plant one, but now that I’m better, I have started again.

I have a small one at home in the city but a bigger one outside of town that I take care of and although I always say I’m going to make it smaller I don’t! It’s hard work I guess if you love it though it’s rewarding, working on the farms in my youth made me realize how important farmers are to society and frankly, we treat them like shit there is no reason for the price we pay for food that they can’t pay them more equitably!

These people feed the world but the middleman who organized the transport from the farmers to the plants is the one making money, farmers barely make it yearly except for a very few.

They should be treated with a lot more respect, not many people would get up at 4:30 am to go make 30 000$ a year. They need equipment that costs millions and they have no labor it’s a very hard life and a labor of love almost for people who barely see them!

Please try buying local, help your farmers.
