Funny Key Leaf Story

Went to the doctor today. He knows I make knives. He asked what new weapons you got today?

I just happen to have a key leaf. I just made it this morning.

How do you use it?

You put the dish of the leaf between your thumb and forefinger using the chain to stabilize it. It almost turns solid in your hand and gives control and rigidity to the leaf. When you hold it this way you can poke it into soft spaces, under the arm, across the forehead, soft muscle tissue. Things that will distract an attacker.

I handed it to him he held it correctly. He was holding a clipboard one of those clear hard plastic kind.

Like this, he said as he hit it into the clipboard.

Sounded like something broke. He handed it back to me and said sorry I didn’t mean to break it.

I said you can’t break it it’s made of steel.

He looked down at his clipboard, picked up the paper that was on it, and revealed the clipboard had shatter cracks most of the way through it. He said: I guess that’ll work.

What is a Key Leaf?

Courtesy of Larry Nowicki. I made it.

The key leaf is a nice-looking key holder. Attractive rugged and strong. But it’s not only a key holder. It can be used as a weapon.

It was not designed as an ending weapon. Its intention is as a distraction. It’s sturdy enough that when held properly it can dig into soft spaces, muscle, tendons, and joints to cause pain. This pain could distract an attacker long enough to give you the opportunity to get away.

You should only have one or two keys on it. Key to your car and your house. You should always have a duplicate set with all of your keys on it. If someone attacks you while you’re trying to get into your car you can throw the keys. If the car is what they really wanted they’ll go after them. When they go to get the keys, use your second set to get in your car. If you throw the only key to your car away you have just lost your means of escape.

The same with your house key. If someone comes to attack you while you are going into your house throw the keys. While they’re going after the keys you use your second set to get in the house and lock the door.

Always be aware of everything around you just in case you happen to be attacked. If you are really the intended target and not your property then you can use this as a sturdy weapon to help give you a distraction. An opportunity to be the one that goes home.
