Fun With YouTube

An Illuminating experience

Encouraged by Dr. Mehmet Yildiz, I decided to post some of my poetry on the Illumination You Tube channel. Fortunately for me I was able to enlist the musical composition skills of my brother Steven Antonelli and the visual compilation skills of my nephew William Antonelli.

I have always loved to read aloud, so it was fun for me to record my voice on my smartphone app. I then forwarded the recording to Steven who created an original composition to accompany each poem. William then found still photographs and brief video, which with proper attribution, created a seamless collaboration.

I would encourage everyone to try making a You Tube video, based around your poems or short pieces. Sending the link to your friends, family, or followers on Medium is an enjoyable way to receive encouraging feedback.
