Fruitful Mind Garden

Are you planting the right seeds in your mind?

I wrote this twittle after reading Lilie Kaizen’s haiku, Mind Garden. Lili talks about ‘seeding’ our minds with thoughts that can be brought to fruition, just as seeds germinate and flourish into a beautiful garden.

Lili asks us -

Are you planting the right seeds in your mind?

Her haiku and question prompted me to reflect on my own circumstances, and the character strengths I value most and aspire to put into practice. It didn’t take long for the twittle seed to sprout!

A twittle is a quatrain (a four-line rhyming poem) constructed with exactly 100 alphabet letters.

Here are some twittles I’ve written over the past year about hope, gratitude, and patience –

Hope in My Garden 🏡

I don’t have to venture very far to replenish my supply of hope, patience, awe, and gratitude. It’s right there in my garden!

The photo I have selected to accompany this piece is one I took in my front yard. The fairy irises live up to their name —held aloft by tall slender stalks, the stunning flowers dance around like fairies.

I don’t need to believe in fairies to have hope; fairy irises will do it for me! That’s because white irises are a symbol of hope, faith, and purity. 🌼

Keep dancing, my hope fairies! 😊 💗

My Hope — an invitation to you

I hope others are also inspired to respond to Lilie’s notion of a mind garden in whatever creative form it takes them. I’m thinking of you, Thalia Dunn | Jenine Bsharah Baines | Penofgold | Indubala Kachhawa 🙏 💐

Thank you to Denise Larkin for accepting this piece into her publication, The Lark. Thank you all for reading. 🙏 💕
