From The Past
A Poem

I went on snooping into the past, But about airplanes and airports, I wanted to write.
But for some reason, I cannot fathom (nor understand), A name from my past came to my mind. Some girl, I cannot remember, did I have a crush or not now, If that is the case, should I call it a crush?
If it is a crush, you ought to tell yourself, One day with this person, a life I want to share, But I cannot remember, nor I really do care, Tonight, when I dream, I travel by air.
Maybe the past I want to avoid, Or maybe the past must stay where it was. Down Facebook’s archives, I went, Surprised I was, I found (I think) that girl.
I found for sure my then best friend, In Elementary school, with Lego with played, Oh my God! He looks just the same, I will not befriend him. In the past, he will stay.
Maybe I’m insecure, or perhaps I’m shy, OK, you can be sure both those things, I am, But I am also afraid of those things called ghosts, And to find out, I am one of those.
Another ghost from the past, Lost in space, mostly in time, One of these days, if you see me in the dark, If I look friendly, you may stop and say hi.
(You may be aware, however, I’m not the same from the past)

Thank you, Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) for this prompt. I swear I do not know how that name came to my head! It may be that like an onion, I am, peeling layers and layers from my future and my past!
#OnionSquad Forever!
Here is her poem (Yum!):
The Prompt is: What do you miss from the past?
Tagging: Elle Beau ❇︎, Elle Rogers, Kira Dawn, LB, Alan Asnen, James Knight, Bella Linda, Imad … Now I think about it, if we do have a past, does it mean that some age, we carry on our backs? Oh, Time! I know who you are! The great deceiver, my age is not who I am! (But ouch! Why does my back hurt when I stand!?)
