From Pillar to Post

Prompt: better alone than in the bad company

Photo by Samuel Scrimshaw on Unsplash

Ran after friends since childhood. Bribed acquaintances for acceptance. Searched for meaningful connections everywhere. Dreamt of having a lasting relationship.

Friendships were sought out of desperation. Companionship was sought to find solace. Camaraderie was sought to avoid dealing with pain. Fraternity was sought to get professional recognition.

So thankful for all the failures. So thankful for all the rejections. So thankful for finding a perfect companion. So thankful for getting inner peace by loving my own company.
