From God’s Lips to My Ears

Yesterday I said this to my writing friend: I hope a literary agent finds one of my online stories and COMES TO ME to suggest a compilation of my vignettes for us to publish!

My friend responded: From your lips to God’s ears!

We both chuckled.

This morning as I was writing my “morning pages” as suggested in The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity, I didn’t have much to vent about, so I copied the list of twenty creative affirmations author Julia Cameron includes. When I got to my favorite one, “I am willing to let God create through me,” I chuckled again.

Thanks to Cameron’s journaling technique — which causes creative ideas to flourish — perhaps my friend’s words were directionally challenged, and THIS is the correct phraseology:

From God’s lips to my ears!

I’m ready to listen…
