From Deep Fryer Life to Air Fryer Wife

Do you ever wonder how different your life would be if you changed your way of eating?

It can be entirely evolutionary because of the growth you may endure. It can even be spiritual if you allow it. It can be all these great and wonderful things but the one thing it needs to be is long-term.

I wondered about this lifestyle for a long time before I ever applied it to my own way of living. I used to eat a ton of processed foods and fast food from restaurants like McDonald’s on the daily. Because I used to work there.

I was learning the ways of a vegan lifestyle when I started there; but that ended abruptly and within no time after I took my first bite into their small classic cheeseburger after what seemed to be years in my head.

I’m not going to lie. Switching to healthy food can be very hard, especially when there is no cheese or meat involved. If there is a diet you can name I have probably already tried it and it didn’t work out for me.

I explored veganism in high school. I was a vegetarian for 7 months when I was 21. I tried keto for a very long time and ended up gaining more weight with more health problems. I was tired of feeling hungry all the time and tired of my pre-existing gut issues.

With me having a son and possibly wanting to grow my family in the near future, I knew I didn’t want them to be having to face the same problems as I did with my own health. During my pregnancy I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes; AKA diabetes during pregnancy. But it can also mean pre-diabetes. Shortly after having my son I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Which is what led to my long dreadful keto diet.

I learned it wasn’t so much the carbs that was hurting my body but how they are processed. Take bananas for example. They are known to be one of the most high carb fruits but a lot healthier for you than a donut, obviously. Bananas are natural with natural carbs and sugar. A donut is man-made with additives and made up carbs and made up sugar. Don’t even get me started on high fructose corn syrup.

A donut can be made a lot of different ways and there are healthier options over others. But the ones I’m referring to can be found in the grocery aisle next to the processed breads. This can be the miniature cakes too or even some cereal bars. I am going to feel a lot better when I eat my calories in fruit vs those desserts.

One thing I would like to say about bananas though is to look for the organic ones that are smaller. You’ll thank me later.

For those many people who are already followers, thank you for listening to my story and being apart of my journey. You already know the story though and know it’s a successful one that is on my blog on HealthyHappyToddler.com which you can read more about. I couldn’t be more grateful for you all wonderful parents relating to me and supporting me.

You all are the reason this could become a full-time career for me. I have gained enough financial freedom with this world of writing that I no longer have to work for someone other than myself. I don’t only have fans of my website but of my Etsy shop as well and I just couldn’t be happier or more proud.

I’ve shared my story before and gained many great friends from it but today I’m diving deeper into how it all started and what’s happening now in my life with my family and me.

I’ve been transitioning for a long time not only with foods but my personal and work life. I used to talk on phones for a living and now I don’t have to talk at all. Unless I wanted to… like for a podcast. So I’m starting one! Yay!

Unlike my website though that is heavily focused on toddlers and family, the main focus is on ourselves, ladies. Oh yes. It’s about time. I love talking health to you guys but I just wanted and needed a platform to express on other topics I love that are healthy too but also are spiritual and self-loving and healing. My podcast is called Healthy Happy Woman!

I personally just love talking it out with myself (and hopefully some future guests) and providing advice to other moms or young women out there. I may help other people find their way but in all reality this helps me find myself more as well.

I realize this is a huge turning point in my business but know it’s gonna be just as successful as my blog and Etsy shop thanks to you all. You guys really show up for me so I will continue to show up for you too.

In my very fist podcast episode, I am talking about:

  • My journey from a fast food worker to a health food blogger
  • The importance of self-love
  • Mindset over matter
  • My personal development
  • Challenges I faced in my relationships
  • Business and brand growth
