From Broke To 3 Income Sources In 1 Year

How I went from $0 in the bank to 3 income sources

Source: Bing Image Creator

In late 2022 I was on the edge of nothingness. Both in my mind and in my bank account. I spent my days rotting in bed, and in case you weren’t sure, that wasn't paying the bills. I hated my life and knew I needed to change. I talk about my battle from the bottom to where I am now in this post below if you are interested:

I had less than $100 in my bank account when I started my new job. Now I’m sitting on the most I’ve ever had. It feels good and for the first time in my life, I feel proud of myself.

My Job

The first step was to get a job. It would solve a lot of my problems, the main one being a lack of money and needing to pay for things like living facilities, food, and transport. It would also help with other problems like:

  • Getting me out of the house every day
  • Giving me social interaction
  • Putting me in a routine

So I got one, a bad one. In retail and I’m still there now. I plan on quitting soon but for now, it’s one of my income sources.

Medium

A few months ago this subtitle would be Twitter, where I earned $150 in the space of 8 months. I gave using Twitter as the return on investment is far superior on Medium.

I joined Medium on November 20th and have earned in excess of $3,000+ as of February 10th. I plan on making Medium a consistent income stream that I can rely on to make up part of my monthly income and help pay for expenses.

Digital Products

Funnily enough, I haven’t released a digital product for Medium. I’ve been asked to write courses and someone has even said to me that they would pay just for advice from me. That’s crazy to me, I’m just some guy, why would someone pay me for advice?

But I have released a free digital writing course and two kind people were generous enough to optionally pay for it. I’ve earned money in the past with digital products, from Twitter, and perhaps it’s something I will do on Medium if there is enough demand and that’s something people want to see.

In the future, I would incorporate digital product income as a part of my monthly income if people were interested enough in the idea. Otherwise, I’m not sure if I will continue with digital products.
