Summary

Jeff Herring outlines a straightforward method for transforming articles into profitable online courses by breaking them down into modules and content delivery systems.

Abstract

The article by Jeff Herring emphasizes a simplified approach to creating online courses quickly. Herring suggests a three-step process: first, write an article with a list of tips, mistakes, myths, or steps; second, convert each tip into a standalone module; and third, enrich each module with various "content delivery systems," such as text, audio, video, and interactive elements. He illustrates the process with screenshots and assures readers that course creation doesn't need to be overly complicated. How to Create Profitable Courses FAST

From Article to Course

THIS really annoys me!

Welcome to today’s mercifully brief article training. I’m glad you’re here!

I get very annoyed when the simple is made complicated.

Such is the case with all the emphasis you see now on creating courses.

I imagine people all over the online world asking:

Can’t this be made simpler?

Yes it can! Let’s dive in:

Keeping It Simple

Would it be ok with you if we could create lots of courses in just a few steps?

Step 1: Create an article with 3–5 tips, mistakes, myths, steps, etc.

Step 2: Now convert each tip into a module. It will look something like this:

You: “OK, Jeff, that looks simple enough, but what do I put in each module?”

Me: “I’m so glad you asked because that’s Step 3.”

Step 3: Add a few “content delivery systems” to each module. “Content delivery systems?” Ha! Gotta show off these high priced degrees somehow.

Here’s what this will look like:

That’s essentially it. The rest is simply adding the above components.

As I’ve said before, I could make this harder for you, but why?
