From a Stranger’s Perspective
Spiritual Weekly Prompt
Don’t get disheartened when you think you are lost, Someone might see the light falling on you.
“I became a stranger
To myself
To see the best in me.”
When we see or feel something for the first time, we only look for its beauty, strength, fragrance, or anything positive. Our brain does not look out for the negative aspects if there are any. But as time goes by, our brain plays tricks on us, and it somehow succeeds in collecting the negative points.
That is its nature. There is no mystery in it. The brain explores itself because it cries out for something new every day.
In the process, it remembers the ‘good thing component’ it has enjoyed for the first time, but forgets the ‘feeling component’.
It’s human nature. It forgets the value of the ‘best thing’ because there are other ‘good things’ around them.
It does not see what doesn’t stand out in his eyes.
The light falls only on the Stranger
Paulo Coelho, one of my favorite writers, has said that a foreign prophet is always more celebrated.
Many of you might have also experienced that you are an ordinary person for the people around you or closest to you, but others think you are a talented human being.
To see what qualities I have inside of myself, I might need to see things from a stranger’s perspective. Maybe then the light will fall on me, and I will see myself shining.
