Living a healthy lifestyle helped me win!

I never considered myself a really active child.
I was always the “chubby kid” who loved to eat and didn’t really care about sports or working out. In fact, I used to hate running.
Don’t ask about the taunts I faced!
Yeah, my own aunt said something really mean to me….
I was telling her the story of how a guy accidentally bumped into me and said sorry uncountable times…just because the copes were there and he was afraid that I might complain.
My aunty replied “No! Actually, he was afraid that you may lift and throw him like a hulk.”
I swear, her comments shattered my heart into pieces.
That day I decided to make a change for the better and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
It was difficult in the beginning, but it was worth it. After a while, I started seeing results and feeling better about myself. And eventually, all of my hard work paid off.
The benefits I got from leading a healthy lifestyle were countless, but here are a few key ones:
1) I lost weight and looked better than ever before
Don’t get me wrong, I still have my moments where I eat too much or don’t work out for a few days, but overall I am really proud of how far I’ve come.
A healthy lifestyle is not a quick fix; it’s a lifelong commitment. But if you’re willing to put in the work, you will be rewarded with a healthy body and mind.
I started looking thinner and my skin looked better. I also had more energy and felt more motivated to do things.
Now I feel confident in myself and I know that I can achieve anything if I set my mind to it.
A healthy lifestyle not only improved my physical appearance, but it also helped improve my mental health.
2) Improved mental clarity and focus
I used to get easily distracted and my mind would wander all the time. But after adopting a healthy lifestyle, I noticed that my mental clarity improved significantly.
I was able to focus better and stay on task for longer periods of time. This was a huge help in my professional life, as well as in my personal life.
I was also less reactive and more patient. This was a huge change for me, as I used to get irritated easily.
3) Improved sleep quality
I used to have trouble sleeping and would wake up multiple times during the night. But after adopting a healthy lifestyle, my sleep quality improved dramatically.
I started sleeping through the night without any issues and woke up feeling refreshed and energized.
Instead of just tossing and turning in bed all night, I was now getting the rest my body needed.
4) Started lifting heavy weights
One of the best decisions I made was to start lifting heavy weights.
At first, I was intimidated by the weight room and thought that only men could lift weights. But after doing some research, I realized that lifting heavy weights is not only for men- it’s for everyone!
Lifting heavy weights has so many benefits, such as building muscle, burning fat, and improving overall strength.
Not only did I get in great shape, but I also gained a lot of confidence from lifting heavy weights.
5) Happy relationships
A healthy lifestyle isn’t just about taking care of yourself- it’s also about taking care of your relationships.
After adopting a healthy lifestyle, I noticed that my relationships improved dramatically.
I was more patient and understanding with the people around me and was less reactive to things.
I also had more energy and was more motivated to do things with the people I loved.
