Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes
A light-hearted poem I made for my wife
As I came out to the hallway, Tired from all the work that I wanted to go, Amazed did I see my wife in her cute apron, Making fried chicken and mashed potato.
My eyes watered, my heart skipped, my stomach growled, How did she know that I was so hungry now, Instantly I imagined eating the fried chicken skin, I couldn’t wait for her to let me in.
Into the heaven of smelling the sweet haze, Of the fried chicken covered in a golden glaze, It was currently blasted by the hot red blaze, But no matter, my hunger will not be phased.
Amazing chicken and mashed potatoes come quickly into my life, Oh! What a large drumstick, check out that size! I will forever be grateful to my wonderful wife, For gracing me this beautiful, scrumptious prize.
