Friday Morning Moth Sightings, a Spiritual Gift of Transformation

It’s time to let go

Just a few minutes ago, I was enjoying a hot cup of coffee on my balcony when three brown moths hovered like angels above my head. One, two, and three came together from what appeared to be thin air to greet me on this beautiful Friday morning. The delightful trio danced on high, taking turns highering and lowering like a wave rippling amongst a quiet morning ocean.

An instant feeling of happiness came over me, a lifting feeling and sense of relief like a heavy weight was being freed from my heart.

And I reveled in this moment, sipping my coffee slowly, pausing to take deep breaths, and slowly letting the air out.

The moths continued to dance, teasing me, dropping lower and lower until I felt like a crown was being placed upon my head.

Ahh, I felt an anointing of spiritual persuasion as a layer of sadness and despair blew away with a gentle wind.

The moths danced some more, inviting friends, and before I knew it, a half dozen or so of the brown sacred ones were performing pirouettes, celebrating, flitting their wings.

Because they knew…

A weight had been lifted from my soul, and I am finally ready to trust the process of letting go so I can move ahead.

Transformation coronation, my ceremony of rebirth, began today.

Adorned with my spiritual crown, I am ready for new beginnings

Moths herald mixed beliefs among cultures. Some believe them to be a harbinger of death, while others maintain they are a token of luck, transformation, and rebirth.

Brown moths symbolize communication and universal balance (light). As spirit animals, they are powerful, representing the visual awareness of all surrounding things and enabling one to proceed on their spiritual journey with all the love and compassion required.

What about you? Have you encountered moths lately?
