Friday Is Watering Day
The grass gets greener where you water it
In my neighborhood Friday is watering day. To conserve water, we’re only supposed to run our sprinklers on certain days. This morning when I was turning on the water, I thought of something.
Usually, Friday is a day of waiting. Not a lot of work gets done. We’re all looking at clock, looking forward to the weekend. We take our feet off the gas pedal. We don’t start anything new.
What if we changed our approach?
What if we viewed Friday as watering day, not just for our lawns, but for our lives? What if we viewed this day, where expectations are lowered, and the reward of Saturday is just around the corner, as a day to invest in ourselves?
What if we got ahead?
Instead of letting yourself wither over the weekend, water a little extra on Friday. Hit the gym a little harder. Run a few more minutes. Do double your vocab on your language app.
And watch your life turn greener in no time.
