Fresh Lime Ade
The taste of summer
I’ve been enjoying my new juicer. Combining the juice of two oranges and one lime is fantastic. It’s a brighter, more complex taste than plain orange juice.
Last night, to go with BBQ meatloaf, I made lime ade for the first time. It was delicious!
Zest of one lime Juice of 4 limes 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup hot water cold water to 4 cups
Zest the lime into a pitcher that can hold 4 cups of liquid. (It’s important to do this before juicing it.) Then add the juice of 4 limes, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1/2 cup of hot water. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Bring up to 4 cups with cold water. Serve over ice. Makes 4 servings.
If you have a bigger pitcher, by all means, make more. It goes fast!
