Freedom’s March
Justice Poetry
Standing firmly for what is right Ingrained principles of many years, Equality of justice includes everyone Courage of beliefs when others disagree Wisdom in own meaningful actions taken.
Watching discriminations taking place Heckling and taunting minority citizens Unfairness in actions many others take, Unsureness in why they feel this way Perhaps insecurities in who they are.
Previous marches with minority citizens Standing with them in fights for rights Facing nefarious forces denying them freedom, Developing friendship bonds as we marched Celebrating freedom of inherent human spirit.
Too many barriers still must be faced In freedom’s march for equality of rights, Society’s justice frequently moves too slowly But freedom’s march will never be denied.
