“Sand names” Nature art & photo by Mary Chang Story Writer

Four Strong Souls, the SWPSC Team

Spring Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Nature Art”

Energy and creativity connect our team.

The other day I was at the beach and scribbled these names into the sand because I was thinking of my editorial team. It took me a few tries on paper before I figured out the best way to join our names. Later that day, I sent the feature photo to my co-editors, Ellie Jacobson, Sandi Parsons, and Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles to let them know I appreciate them for becoming part of the Six Word Photo Story Challenge team and they suggested I submit it as a “nature art” story.

Editorial Update, December 2022: As of December, Ellie Jacobson stepped away as an editor for SWPSC, but will continue to be a writer. Mary Chang Story Writer, Sandi Parsons, and Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles will continue to be the editors of the pub.

Today, I’m excited to announce that we hit 500 followers for our publication! A huge thanks to our loyal readers, dedicated writers, photographers, followers, and simply anyone who has taken the time to read or write a photo story in this pub — we couldn’t have made it this far without you!

This number may not seem massive for a small short-form publication, but the support, enthusiasm, and sincere connection between our writers and readers that we’ve created in our creative storytelling village is significant in its own vibrant way.

Thank you writers for connecting your photographs to your six-word stories in thoughtful ways, giving readers a chance to explore the meaning behind your photo stories, and for providing a snap of joy, laughter, or ah-ha moments to their day.
