Four Letter Word

LOVE

Love is what I feel- It’s a four-letter word With o, v, in the middle: Like the o, v, in the word novel, You’re a book, too, I find you so intriguing, I can’t wait to open.

You’re a goddess, Worthy of worship, reincarnated In human form, blessed with life Upon Earth, here it is you That I’ve longed for- Where have you been all my life?

You appeared before me, A white dove. You transported me to your sanctuary, Chased away all my insecurities, Never before have I felt peace Take me hostage.

Let me shorten this distance between us, Allow love to escape The tug-of-war between our hearts, You’ve crept inside my head, flourishing Like ivy, creeping into corners, Occupying every space within My four-chambered wall.

Love is what I feel, It’s a four-letter word With the o, v, in the middle, Similar to the o, v, in the word woven: The threads of our hearts are awaiting That interlaced connection.

I want our love to be part of my lexicon I’ve made a declaration, Saying yes, to where you will lead me, My heart awaits its guided tour.

Thank you for reading! Your time is always appreciated.
