Modern Japanese Lives

How many Japanese do they fulfill in their days? Although I have many colleagues and friends and family whom I work with, there seem to be few people who are satisfied with their work and life. They are all important to me, but they are hardly positive in their lives.

When it comes to the whole nation, it is even crueler, and everyone seems to be less active. It seems like time is just passing and people are just coasting along.

Is it because long working hours are making them tired or because of stress? They complain about their daily lives at the number of times a day. Their negative face proves the overwhelming low satisfaction in their lives.

As for the quality of their work, they just perform their duties and just stay in the company. They seem to be working only to earn wages. This is neither the development of the company nor their growth.

My Long Struggling

After I graduated from high school, there were ten years when I didn’t know what I was supposed to do or what I wanted to do. I think it was a long period when I was struggling.

At that time, I tried different things I had never done before. When I was at university, I went out drinking five times a week, I went into pachinko parlors during the day, and I traveled around. Furthermore, my parents helped me to study at a postgraduate school in the UK. After returning to Japan, I joined a major company and worked as a cog in the company. I think I could have achieved results and earned a wage as good as anyone else.

But was I active in my life? I earned money for my family and for my wants at the time. And I developed the crucial and required skills and knowledge to achieve my job well. Throughout the experience, I was able to have fun at whole time. But it was only for a while and did not fulfill me.

I think I was more active when I was living each day with a purpose in high school. I was overcoming my selfishness and silently completing tough tasks daily. I studied and practiced diligently and worked so hard on what I wanted to achieve. I felt as if I was a monk in training. It seemed to be a kind of Japanese emphasis that admires process over results. I was filled with vitality through my experience of daily growth and spiritual fulfillment.

When I think about that time now, I think I experienced the Japanese spirit that the old Japanese had, such as bushido and moral values. They worked hard to achieve their goals, building on the process of learning about life and something else. There was a bond with the people you worked with, and a sense of fulfillment that comes from a stable relationship.

It is time we recover vibrant life like the past

In the past, Japan was a country where everyone lived a vibrant life.

It is stated in various books that although poor, there was no real poverty and it was respected among the world.

There were Japan’s unique environment, mind, and way of thinking created a variety of things, such as Japanese foods, culture, craftsmanship, industry, and hospitality. In those days, Japan had a unique and powerful style and strength.

It is precisely in this era that I want to convey the old Japanese way of being and culture, which was respected by foreign countries. I believe we can change better like past, when we recover the old Japanese spirits.

Each one of us should be able to express ourselves with our own will and our own identity. To be able to interact and cooperate with others and create stable relationships. To constantly search for knowledge about the things that each one has an interest in.

If we can do these, we will have a positive sense of ourselves that will satisfy our lives of spiritual fulfillment. Even though we are struggling with many problems, we can achieve our own goals with positivity.

I would like to get in touch with the old Japanese way of thinking and take another look at my true self. Through expressing the splendor of old Japan and with friends who incorporate with me, I will make creative and new.
