Forgive and Move On
If not for them, then for yourself

I hung up the phone that evening and sadly shook my head. I had listened for two hours as a family member vented angrily over the wrongs I allegedly did to him ten years earlier.
Selective memory isn’t a good thing
The problem was, either I had no memories of these alleged slights, or I remembered the incidents differently; the sad thing, I have moved on with my life, and I’m happy, but this family member’s anger is eating him alive.
Forgiveness is for you, not just for the one who wronged you
For my part, I have worked hard and forgave him for hurting me. But this family member is still angry toward me. His anger is tearing him up, but it’s not affecting me at all.
Hate for no reason
I think about this whenever I watch the news reports of Ethnic Strife from all over the world. Nations and cultures are killing each other, and they don’t even know why.
Forgive the ones who hurt you and find peace
People are fighting over stuff that happened generations ago, it’s hate for the sake of hate, and it makes no sense. I’m not suggesting that you forget the wrongs done to you, but you would be better off forgiving the ones that hurt you.
Don’t let them live rent-free inside your head, let it go and move on.
