Summary

Abstract

the pursuit of life in a block of solitude I’m so awkward now

conversation sparks of cats or coffee or books these words come easy

I don’t often cry If a stranger says goodbye my company rocks

Author’s note:

What can I say? I guess I’m the resistant introvert, repelling conversation and other people like a well scotch guarded patio chair. Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) asked, what’s one thing that I’d like to try that’s out of the ordinary this week?

My only answer, is to hold an actual conversation with the nice lady across the hall. We both work odd hours so, it’s tough to cross paths. But, I’d like to think that if the occasion arose, I won’t stand there like a mannequin still waiting to be clothed.

Guess we’ll find out. I’m riveted to see what I’ll do! Stay tuned!
