For You To Grow, It’s Simple — Do Less
The simple act of doing more.

You’re barely a few days into the new year and you have goals to do more. But there’s a simple solution to this.
You need to do less.
True, it doesn’t make sense, but you want to grow as a person.
There are only so many hours in the day and you can’t make time magically appear.
Time is one of those elusive things in life. It’s easy to take it for granted when you don’t manage your time.
Think about this…
Last year is over. You had 365 days to do as you please.
Did you get everything you wanted to do accomplished?
If not, you may not have managed your time wisely.
Of course, there are dozens of reasons that you didn’t achieve your goal. But a key one is managing your time.
So, let me walk you through how you can easily beat time at its own game.
Once you use it, it’s gone
Everyone has the same amount of time. No one has any more or any less.
You need to learn to manage your time. If not, it’s gone forever.
- You have 24 hours in a day
- Seven days a week
- 12 months in a year
If you spend your time watching videos, playing a game, drinking at a bar, or doing something else, that time you used is gone, forever.
But with a new year, you may have some goals you want to achieve. To do that, you need to find the time.
Define your goal
Some people set New Year goals and resolutions, or just want to work on an idea they have in their mind. Whatever it is, you need to figure it out and work on it.
Your goal needs to become a top priority for you. If it isn’t, you won’t get it done.
Before you can start on your goal, there are one or possibly a few things you need to do.
Stop doing X, Y, and Z
To do more, you have to do less.
As I mentioned, you only have so many hours in a day and you can’t make more time appear. So, you need to manage your time better.
To do that, this means you are doing less of something to do more.
Say you watch two hours on Netflix every day. This means about 14 hours a week watching movies.
If you take those 14 hours and work on your new goal, that puts you further ahead to accomplishing it.
Now, you are one step closer to achieving your goal this year.
Implement it
After you have defined your goal and figured out what to stop doing, this should get you that much closer to achieving your goal.
This sounds simple, but it is easy to mismanage your time.
As I mentioned, you only have 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The better you identify your time wasters, the faster you’ll achieve your goal.
This all comes down to managing your time and using it effectively.
No one can make more time appear. It’s all about using the time you have effectively.
You can’t speed up time, but you can manage your habits better. Your habits will help you do more and you’ll end up doing fewer things that aren’t helping you.
It’s a simple concept. But until you sit back and look at what you’re doing, it could prevent you from doing bigger things in life.
Managing time is a hard thing to do. You’re human and it’s easy to get distracted by people and things that want your attention.
You need to learn to block these distractions. If not, you’ll never achieve the big things you want.
