For You, I Wish It Would Rain
I wish it would rain not to cover up my pain but to uncover all that remains of the fire that burns throughout the hearts of millions, who don’t know better — who have burned all their lives to sustain generations not believing the smoke might kill all their efforts.
I wish it would rain and it may come but not soon enough as I see that I still can’t see through the haze that you breathe in and out every day. No, the rain won’t hide my pain, but I hope that it heals some of yours.
