For the Love of Reading
Do people still visit libraries?
I remember back when The library was home; Books all around me Made me feel warm.
Mum would drop me en route, And I would sit and read; Amidst the sound of rustling, Eyes moving with speed.
Books took me to places, Where there were no rules; Only fairies and mysteries, Romance and ruins.
Now the books have gone missing, They are replaced by screens; I miss the smell of new pages, And the knowledge unseen.
I yearn for the feeling, To read about sunshine and rain; For the love of reading, Let’s revive libraries again!
