This is for the Mothers.

The Fathers.

The Caregivers.

The lovers who give with no expectation. For true love is unconditional.

I never knew love until I looked upon the angelic face of my newborn and fell. Hard. For as many poems have been written about lovers, twice as many are engraved on the heart of a parent🖤

Awake at midnight enthralled by the love I feel for one tiny soul

For what is love but a fleeting moment in time, your heartbeat and mine

My precious darling this I vow — to love and guard your spirit always
