Footfalls From the Deep
Poetry

Those white horses plow the shore,
manes flowing to the tide’s reach that laps.
and we wonder why each sand grain–
nestled tight between our toes–
glistens with the ocean’s web:
A sparkling nest of gems amid the land and sky,
so softly spoken in the shushed evening when the sun dives,
leaving silken dreams from briny depths in our trail.
