Following Your Heart Makes More Sense Now Than Ever Before
New research reveals our hearts electrical field is around 60 times greater than the electrical activity generated by our brains

“Spare me. I don’t want to hear about this trip. What possesses you over and over?”
My mother and I are having one of our usual intense conversations. Facing each other off with bolstering cups of coffee.
It’s 1981, I’m 30 years old and knowing from heart level my life will soon shift focus. I surrender to not knowing the how or why.
A dear friend has proposed an enticing adventure. I was visiting my parents to let them know I would be leaving for a stay in the bush of Kenya, Africa and who knew what or where else.
“Wasn’t the Amazon jungle enough of an adventure? You’ve hardly been back a year! And why do you have to wander off into the middle of nowhere every damn time?”
“You know my heart is my guide. I can’t believe you of all people are saying this mom. Aren’t you the woman who froze in place playing on the forbidden elevated train tracks as an 8 year old?
That train rushing straight for you. Your brother screaming JUMP! And you tranced out. Until you heard the voice of divine intervention. “Jump, you’re going to have 12 children! And you did — well 11, close enough.”
She flinched. “I knew if I shared that story with you it would come back to bite me. You must have a doctorate degree from your School of Direct Life Experience by now. But there you go, off again.”
I wish Mother was still alive so her science inclined mind could explore the new material Heart Math Institute is presenting. A lot of their research stems from SQUID. A superconducting quantum interference device.
The sensitivity of this instrument has revealed astonishing facts like this one.
“The magnetic field produced by the heart is more than 100 times greater in strength than the field generated by the brain and can be detected up to 3 feet away from the body, in all directions.”
Like everything in nature, our bodies signals and messages are encoded in the language of patterns. Low frequency waves generated by our heart and body carry emotional information. Higher frequency rhythmic patterns reflect our conscious perception and identification of feelings and emotions.
These same patterns transmit our emotions through our electromagnetic field into the environment and can be detected by others. These are the vibrations we feel toward another as we mingle our energetic fields.
Patterning also provides valuable information to our intuition as the transmission is much faster than our brains can process thought.
Our hearts generate a pressure wave, traveling more rapidly through our arteries than the flow of blood we feel in our pulse. These waves force blood cells through capillaries to provide oxygen and nutrients to cells and expand the arteries. This energy produces a large electrical voltage.
Biomagnetic communication is taking place between individuals before our senses can track it. This vital energetic system operates just below our conscious level of human awareness.

When we are engaged in deep conversation we begin a dance of synchronization, weaving our movements, posture, tone of voice, rate of speaking and even the pauses between our words.
Each emotion carries a frequency signature. Certain emotions are more compatible with our heart, such as appreciation, gratitude and compassion.
Others like anger, frustration and rage are dissonant and vibrating on a lower frequency. They directly influence our actions through subconscious attractions and repulsions.
Any heart focused attention increases our heart-brain synchrony and is an attractor of the same, wether we consciously recognize it or not.
We are wired to connect with our built in heart-brain intelligence.
When it’s thrown off balance we can temporarily lose the link and become prone to reactionary behavior.
This is where our individual nervous systems come into the equation. Our nerves are antennas with radars tuned to the magnetic fields produced by the hearts of people in our environment. This innate ability heightens our awareness and can produce true empathy and sympathy.
When this fine tuning is consciously recognized between communicators it magnifies and leads to a deeper resonance with non verbal transmissions.
When we search for a therapist in any modality, this is the frequency we are on the hunt for. Compatibility between two sympathetic fields. Coherent frequencies allows us to become more receptive to new information.
Heart research also helps us understand the power of our pets to soothe and comfort us. The purr of a contented cat and devoted look of a worshipping dog is literally feeding our hearts. We open the door to our homes and are greeted by heart coherency before we realize what’s happening.
Because animals are not filtering through their minds they can possess more developed and refined sensors.
A friend was once dog sitting for her neighbors. She and doggie were buddies and had gone through vacation rituals together in the past. One morning she came to give doggie her breakfast and take her for a walk.
She arrived to find doggie under the kitchen table, making strange sounds like a human sobbing. My friend laid down on the floor, trying to figure out what was happening and was shocked to see tears coming out of the dog’s eyes. She wouldn’t take food and refused to budge, unlike her normal enthusiastic response to a leash.
Her owners were coming back from Mexico that very day so my friend felt she could delay a trip to the vet until they arrived. What nobody knew at the time was the dog was in deep mourning due to the death of her beloved owners. The flight they were returning on had crashed into the Pacific ocean with no survivors onboard an hour before.
This demonstrates the sensitivity animals can activate through heart connection to their owners, even from lengthy distances. It’s also why animals can be some of the most effective healers around. They bypass mentality and operate directly from heart frequencies.

Sensitive humans can also display those same refined sensors when conditions allow or encourage it.
I was 19 and taking a class taught by an extraordinary healer in her 70’s. It was night and florescent lights were turned on in the room. She excused herself for a moment and left the room. We thought she was taking a bathroom break.
When she returned, I was amazed to see a bright gold light surrounding her entire body like a luminescent orb. Energy was oscillating toward her heart and the center of her chest was pulsating with emerald green light. It was a beautiful sight to behold but also mysterious as it had just appeared.
I couldn’t restrain my curiosity and stayed until everyone had left. I approached her and described what I had seen and was still continuing to see. This is what she shared.
“I work within a collective group of healers. We call on each other whenever we are in need. I have a heart condition and began to feel my heartbeat increasing and fluttering as I was teaching. I left the room to contact my group telepathically.
What you are seeing is the transmission of golden healing energy being sent to my general field. The deep green color is rebalancing my heartbeat. Their response was immediate and the light they beamed in allowed me to steady my heart and finish the class.
You are in a receptive heart space. This allows your inner sight to see the dynamics at work. I was aware you could see what was taking place.”
When we enter a physiologically coherent mode we automatically become stable internally and less vulnerable to negative fields emanating from others. This anchoring creates a safe passage for our sensitivities to emerge.
When our heart rhythms are aligned, our electromagnetic field radiated externally becomes more organized and potent. This is a prime teaching from diverse holy scriptures.
When two or more are gathered in harmonious transmission we increase our power exponentially. This can even take place when couples are sleeping.
My career was in the healing arts. The groundbreaking information revealed in Heart Math Institute’s book “Science of the Heart” is not new to me. It confirms the structure I’ve intuitively based my life on.
Trusting hearts is the very reason I continue to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, regardless of experiences I’ve had to the contrary in my personal life.
A willingness to receive and open can overcome our mind’s doubts. It can also lead us to developing our full potential. Heart work is what all of us are here to do.
We need our brain to engage with critical thinking and come to logical conclusions based on fact. In the process of honoring our minds however, we have tended to ditch our hearts along the way.

This is a grievous error and it’s showing up in many forms within our societies and cultures. An overemphasis on mentality has been one of the primary reasons we are removing ourselves further from nature.
This divorce is contra indicated in our future survival. Our minds may form a vital part of our existence but our survival depends on the whole of our Being.
People who have the most difficulty healing are those relying solely on their brains to mastermind their actions. They shut down notions of coherent energetic fields as unproven theories and a waste of time.
Others can reach a place where the need for healing overrules their notions of reality and they reflexively open and alter with newfound receptivity.
Incoherent heart energy has led us to countless wars across the globe and even battles within our homes. Our reluctance to become more vulnerable and move toward our hearts is contributing to the sharp spike in mental illness.
Quite a bit of mental instability is created from a feeling of isolation. Humans are designed to interlink and resonate with other heart fields for support.
Our hearts sense disturbances in our fields and seek attention. If it isn’t available, desperate measures can occur.
I’ve lived a multi dimensional, non-ordinary life. This is due to my choice of heart navigation as a priority path. It’s gifted me with resilience, endurance and the courage to uphold my intuitive knowing.
Does that mean I’ve had a cake walk through La La Land? Quite the opposite actually. My path led to casting off established systems and creating my own norms.
There were few mentors. When they arrived, I was immensely grateful and discovered deep value in their words and actions.
It’s been challenging, engaging and enlivening every step of the way. There is no other journey I would’ve chosen.
Heart awareness is the direction and medicine we’re looking for on a soul level. It’s already here and always has been.
Our hearts offer the portals and passages back home to our selves. I strongly encourage you to jump onboard for the best ride of your life.
